Manchester United mananger Alex Ferguson has again praised George Burley for putting Town where they are today. Reports yesterday suggested that George us almost certain to get the nod as Manager of the Year beating rivals like Ferguson. |

Season ticket renewal forms have finally gone out. These were due out two weeks ago, but were subject to a delay. According to the brochure which comes with the form fans have to return their forms by May 21st while their existing seats will be reserved until May 19th. |

TWTD columnist John Scales was somewhat surprised when we told him that a fee had been agreed with Forest for David Johnson. Scales said that the players had heard nothing from the striker about the deal with Nottingham Forest even though Johnson had trained with them on Thursday. |

Contrary to reports yesterday Marcus Stewart is still a doubt for tomorrow's crunch top of the table clash with Manchester United. Stewart injured his thigh in last week's 3-1 win over Southampton and is still feeling the injury. |

Town's win at Leeds last week was voted Performance of the Week by a panel of Alex Ferguson, Graham Taylor, David Bassett and Barry Fry. The four meet weekly with chairman Howard Wilkinson to decide the winner. The award is sponsored by the Scottish Mutual. Can't be too big a thing as it was announced yesterday and we've only just noticed. This is the first time Town have won the award. |

Town manager George Burley has said that Town striker may still have a chance of making it in an England shirt despite last season's international shenanigans. Johnson was linked with Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as it was thought his possession of a British passport despite being born outside the UK meant he was eligible for any of the home countries. This however was found to be untrue as his mother was born in England. |
